Thanks to NASA, I got the chance to build a system specifically to process the high-resolution reefs map for Reactive Reefs using Fluid Lensing and a suite of GIS processing tools. This machine sits in my office now processing data 24/7 and serves as a front end to process even larger renderings and 3D maps on the NASA Ames Supercomputer. Woohoo!
The new machine is named "Laika" in honor of the first space dog cosmonauts and after the breed of Misha:)
